Journey into the unknown with me!

Hi there, my name’s Nimue! I’m a content creator who makes video essays and commentary about the Witcher books, modern literature, history, and all things nerdy and fun. I’m a fan commentator, and I love sharing my passion for my favorite topics with others.

What makes your content unique or different?

I aim to be thoughtful and research-driven, but I also love to have fun with my audience. I try to share my perspective as a big fan of the Witcher books, since most of the content I’ve seen about the series before was from the games or Netflix.

Why should someone follow or watch you?

If you’re interested in a more in-depth exploration of the Witcher book series or the fascinating history behind its creation, I recommend following or watching my content. It’s also a great way to connect with the Witcher books fandom, as I have a lot of thoughts about the series!

Where can people find your content?

I post on YouTube and Instagram!

How can people reach out for potential collaboration or business inquiries?

You can reach out to me on my Contact page, or shoot me an email at nimue@inisvitre.com.

How did you start creating content?

The Witcher holds a special place in my heart. I became a fan of the series after I played The Witcher III: Wild Hunt in 2017. Soon after, I read the original Witcher book series by Andrzej Sapkowski and rediscovered my passion of reading. During a difficult time in my life, this media nestled into a special place in my heart, which I spoke at length about in this video.

When the Netflix show premiered in late 2019, I was drawn to the challenges of adapting The Witcher for an American audience. I started to explore the question of whether Americans could fully understand The Witcher or if it was even relevant to them. As an American fan myself, I felt compelled to share my thoughts on why the book series is so important to me, about the unique history surrounding it, and exploring the literary games Andrzej Sapkowski plays with his readers.

I aim to provide thoughtful and insightful content about the series that we all love, offering a fresh and unique perspective on the beloved world of The Witcher.

Why do you create content?

I create content because I feel the need to share the truth of the Witcher books with people in a grassroots, organic way. The Witcher can’t be manufactured in Hollywood; it’s something more.

I believe that a key to survival in our modern, hyper-consumerist reality is writing: meaningful, beautiful writing which isn’t afraid to ask questions. Because I would represent this approach with pride, I strive to present myself in an authentic yet professional and well-produced manner. Even though I am an amateur.

What do you aim to achieve?

I’m all about connecting people with each other and with themselves. I want everyone to become more mindful of the media they consume and think more critically about it. I believe in empowering people to believe in their own agency as media consumers.

It’s important to respect our own intelligence and critical thinking skills in a world where media and audiences are often treated as disposable. It’s crucial to develop a positive attitude, confidence, and the ability to educate ourselves and be open-minded, to explore different perspectives, cultures, and ideas. I hope my videos inspire you to go down your own research rabbit holes and embrace your natural human curiosity.

What have you accomplished so far?

I’ve officially collaborated with The Witcher brand in a couple of exciting ways. Recently, I took part in a project with Orbit Books, the English publisher of The Witcher, which was an incredible experience. Earlier this year, I also collaborated with Random House Publishing, a publishing company that had a partnership with CD Projekt to create “The Little Witcher.”

What’s something personal that your audience might not know?

I’m an introvert, and I’m most comfortable when I’m in nature, surrounded by birds. I love hiking and walking in the woods, so you won’t find me at the club or maybe even at the library. But you might find me in a national park, reading on my phone. Despite this, I try my best to make human connections and not let my thoughts disappear into the ether.

Something else personal about me is that I’ve never been outside of California before, and I feel like that sounds crazy to a lot of people. I have been on a plane previously, but it was many years ago, so traveling far is still very foreign to me. I want to travel at some point soon; a personal goal that I have is to challenge myself to pursue my interests outside of my comfort zone.

What are your upcoming projects, goals or plans?

I am currently dreaming up a narrative storytelling video project related to the channel, but that’s to be determined at some later point in time.

In the near future, you can expect some more interesting video essays! There are various ongoing topics which I am currently following the threads of.

How can people support your work?

You can support me on Ko-Fi, that’s my tip jar! But honestly, just liking, commenting, and sharing my videos already really helps a lot.
